About the Academy
A Dynamic Arts School in Prescott
The Academy of Performing Arts is a dynamic arts school in Prescott, Arizona established in September of 2001. Ever since then, the Academy has been committed to offering the best instruction available.
Our staff is a carefully selected group of professionals who provide training for the aspiring performing artist.
We also provide classes for those interested in performing arts for enjoyment. The Academy School offers a wide variety of dance, music, voice and theater classes for children, teenagers and adults. You can learn from our staff of talented teachers, accomplished in all aspects of the performing arts.
The Academy's Performing Arts Association
The Academy's Performing Arts Association, APAA, delivers the best drama, musicals, productions and original works you can find in Prescott, Arizona.
It is a year-round source of great entertainment for all ages. Established in March of 2006, it is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to producing high quality performances and nurturing the artistic development of our community. APAA depends upon membership donations, as well as public and private grants, to help develop and expand our programs. We run our school largely from tuitions from classes, as well as from various fundraising activities.
The Academy aims to
- provide fun & inspiring classes for students whether attending as a hobby, to make friends, or training to a professional level.
- provide a healthy, enjoyable and professional environment in which students are able to build confidence and develop as individuals.
- promote students awareness of their bodies & encourage positive growth in body & mind.
- provide the best possible tuition for students, ensuring all teachers have trained extensively in their field.
- give students a sense of achievement through the opportunity to do outreaches, performances & productions.
- give EVERY student the opportunity to enter into the magical world of stage & performance.

Movin' on up
The best movement arts studio in town is about to get better!
The Academy of Performing Arts and Health in Motion Yoga have come together to form a new studio in Chino Valley called "Body Language".
At the corner of Hwy 89 and Rd. 2 North across from Walgreen’s, the newly renovated 3200 square foot studio will be offering dance, voice, guitar, piano, zumba and yoga instruction.
