We are very excited that you have chosen to audition for "Footloose"! We want to make this an enjoyable, enriching experience for all of you. We have tried to answer most of your basic questions in the following information sheet.

• Casting calls will be made and cast list posted at APA on Monday, August 11th.
• Due to tremendous community support, we have been able to reduce the tuition amount for all students to only $300 this semester (this includes costumes)! The following is a payment schedule:
  • $100 due on Wednesday, August 13th
  • $100 due on Wednesday, September 3rd
  • $100 due on Wednesday, October 1st
• Parent volunteers are desperately needed to make this show a success! Parents are required to volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours in the following areas (scenery construction, costume making, marketing, fundraising, move-in, tear-down, backstage crew, front of house operations)
• Due to the reduction in tuition by $200 for all students this semester, there will not be any individual scholarships available.
• Costume basics required include nude leotard, nude tights for females and dance shoes for every cast member. Additional costume basics may be required for some characters. Measurements will be taken at the first cast meeting on Wednesday, August 13th.
• Please bring a parent with you to the first cast meeting on Wednesday, August 13th at 6:00pm. We will be discussing details of the show and answering any questions you may have.
• Rehearsal Schedule:
  • The first cast meeting will be on Wednesday, August 13th at 6:00pm (APA)
  • Weekly Rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays from 6-8pm, Thursdays & Fridays from 4-6pm and Saturdays from 11-2pm (APA) (We will have rehearsal during fall break and all cast members will be required to be there!)
  • Promotional performances for the show TBA
  • Tech Rehearsal: Nov 11th 4-9pm (YCPH)
  • Dress Rehearsal: Nov 12th 4-9pm (YCPH)
• Show Dates:
  • School Show: Nov 13th 10-1pm (8:30am call time)(YCPH)
  • Public Performances: Nov 14th 7pm (5:30pm call time) (YCPH)and Nov 15th 2pm (12:30pm call time) (YCHP)
• Move-in, Strike and Cast Party:
  • Move-in: Nov 10th 10-1pm (Meet at APA)
  • Strike: Nov 15th 4-6pm (YCHP)
  • Cast Party: Nov 15th 6pm (Placed to be determined)
