Marissa Melchiors
Dance Instructor
Marissa Melchiors began her dance training at age three, and her ballet training at age seven. She has been a dedicated ballet student for the past eight years. She is experienced with several ballet styles including Vagonova, Balanchine, and Royal Academy of Dance.
Marissa has appeared in the San Diego Ballet's The Nutcracker on three occasions. She performed a solo ballet role in the Prescott Fine Arts' production of The Poinsettia Miracle. She has trained in Taos, NM at the Jillana School and in Salt Lake City with Ballet West.
While Marissa continues her extensive training, she is happy to be teaching at the APA, where she will pass on her love of ballet and be a positive role model for the ballet students.

The Academy of Performing Arts and Health in Motion Yoga have come together to form a new studio in Chino Valley called "Body Language".
At the corner of Hwy 89 and Rd. 2 North across from Walgreen’s, the newly renovated 3200 square foot studio will be offering dance, voice, guitar, piano, zumba and yoga instruction.
